So, just to explain my individual ratings...4 stars for the food because we absolutely loved & enjoyed the pizza we ordered; however, the garlic bread wasn't the best. It had a delightful crunch, but it seemed more like a buttered loaf than garlic bread that we're used to having.
First visit, and it was an adorable/quaint spot to enjoy a meal for Valentine's. Our server was amazing, don'tthink we got her name initially but....she was polite, kind, smiling, and she seemed overall happy to be there. And she checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay.
Enjoyed dinner here for the first time on Friday 2/10/2023, ordered a small Caesar salad (delicious and huge), ordered a small pizza w/sausage, pepperoni, and onion, it was so delicious, the crust was nice and flakey w/a good crunch. MaryJo was the bartender and also our server, she was such a wonderful lady, enjoyed having her take care of me and my friend (she ordered the small Caesar salad and lunch size lasagna (nice portion). Between the service and the food, I will be going back to try other items on their menu. I had interaction with two other lady servers and they both were a delight, very friendly and helpful same at the bartender Mary Jo.
Everything about this beloved restaurant is awesome. I've been coming here since I was a kid. We moved out of the area but my hubby and I still come here whenever possible! The pizza and garlic bread are perfection. Service is always excellent. This is my happy place 😋
One of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. We have been going for decades. Their pizza IMHO is one of the best around. If you like the thick cut garlic bread, theirs is top notch (dipped in the meat sauce is fantastic. Service is always good, so please tip your servers well.
OMG!! It’s probably been 20 years since I’ve eaten here and it’s as good as I remember (maybe even better). Our waitress was amazing too! We had pizza and the amazing garlic bread (with meat sauce). I CANNOT let another 20 years go by!! Glad you haven’t changed!
Been going there since high school graduated in 1988!! That was always our lunch get away when we could afford it. They have the best spaghetti Italian pizza sauce I ever had! If you have not tried it is a must!!! Sauce is so outstanding they even sell it by the Quarts😜
I called ahead to see if I could make reservations, gentleman was rude which instant turn off. I've been to the one in South Milwaukee many times over the years w no complaints. I will say South Milwaukee has a better environment & much friendlier all around. The salami in my salad was warm, mushy - not a great start. Garlic bread was good but not fantastic which is my fav part. Lasagna was ok, nothing to write home about. Waitress was just meh & super slow.
Garlic bread is always the best. It's about 1.5-2 inch thick slice of Italian bread dredged through butter and then seasoned and toasted. Their pizza always has a heaping portion of mozzarella cheese. They have a great tasting thin crust and pizza sauce. A time tested staple for Milwaukee county.
